Home Groups

Homegroups

We place an important emphasis on encouraging every church member to read their bibles daily, to reflect and meditate on scripture and, for the Bible to inform our daily walk as Christians.

We currently run three home groups each week where church members gather together in groups to study books of the bible, or a biblical theme, and to pray together and for each other.  These groups are informal and are lay-led.

We are also in the process of developing our homegroup resource to include more topical studies, over short periods of time (eg. 5 sessions), and a group for Christians who want to go much deeper in their Christian faith, exploring ancient Discipleship traditions going back to the Desert Fathers.  This group will consider how a Rule of Life, a Pattern of Prayer and meeting regularly with a Soul Mentor (often referred to as ‘New Monasticism’) can support and nurture how we become an ‘apprentice’ of Jesus’ (see www.practisingtheway.org).

If you would be interested in joining a homegroup, please contact the vicar for an informal chat.
